Pom Pom Love

I've explained before about my enormous love for all things pom poms.  I just wanted to reiterate...I love them. I do. I love them and can't get enough of them! They are by far the easiest DIY decoration you can do to spice up any area, room, space, hallway, I don't care!

I don't even know where to begin with pom poms and events.  To me, it just makes an event look tasteful.  Tasteful and put together. Pom poms look difficult and that the utmost care and diligence was given when creating the works of art - but let's be honest, they take two seconds and add so much!

My latest obsession with pom poms is to put it together with different artistic mediums. Use twine and some Styrofoam and create a giant ball to mix it up and give the creation some different textures, sizes, and color. Pair it with some paper lanterns (because let's face it, between paper lanterns and pom poms - who can really choose which is best?) This helps create more of a 3d feel to any party, any room, and just makes things come to life! (Well, not literally).

Don't you agree??

Color Done Right!

There is such thing as too much color - sometimes it's overdone.  Believe me, I'm generally the first one to cross that "too much going on" rule.  But this wedding as found on the blog, Love and Lavender, is the perfect way to go crazy with bold bright colors for a wedding.  They used enough colors in all of the accessories and details of the wedding that gave it a big punch of personality!

Definitely got the wheels turning... :)

Do-It-Yourself Stationary!

Hello all!

This is a fun find I found on another one of my favorite wedding web sites. Ruffled is a great web site for all things vintage.  As many of you know, I am a girl that was brought up in the wrong decade.  I love all things '5os, '60s, and '70s.  Clothing, Lifestyle, Music, and of course, dancing.  I'm probably the only 24-year-old that I know with 30% oldies music on my ipod.  I can't help myself sway to the beat whenever an oldies song comes on the radio (yes, I will find the only radio station that plays it in any city I find myself in!).

If you didn't know any of that, well, you've learned something new.

Anyways, Ruffled had their readers send in ideas for projects and other things related to weddings, vintage weddings, and vintage-ness. My favorite idea was the DIY Marbled Table Numbers.  I figured you can also apply this to stationary, or any other things you want marbled in colors.  Of course, with me, the more color the better, which is probably why I'm obsessed with the way these table numbers turned out! Seems like a relatively easy process, albeit, probably for something with a final number of products in mind!

Anyways, help yourself! Feel free to love away!

Paper Lanterns...The Obsession Continues!

Two posts in one day? Whaaaat!? Good, glad that reaction is over with.  After hemming and hawing over whether or not to post a second (I can't believe it either) time today, I decided to go ahead and do it.  This is short because it's mostly just a continuation of my current paper lantern obsession.  I found some new pictures of events with paper lanterns, and I couldn't stop flipping out.

So, without further ado, how could you not love these? They are absolute perfection. Most can be found on my favorite blog Style Me Pretty!

This last one is my fav-or-rite.  It's amazing the way they manipulated this large venue and filled it with color and made in look perhaps a little less rustic!

Water

Water Rules. It's one of my favorite sayings because water does in fact, rule. I'm not much for lemonade or sweetened drinks.  When I feel the heat, absolutely nothing sounds better than a glass of cold water with ice.

Water is the original beverage. I think I would even go as far as to call it classic.  I suppose some would say it's plain and simple and not something exciting - especially to use at an event.  I mean, how much can you dress up something see-through?

No need to have these brain busters haunting your every thought my friends.  Be Different...Act Normal has the answer. Dress up the ice! Get some frozen fruit and spice up the water! How much fun is this? This is the perfect way to dress up your beverage!

Knowing how much I love color, I have fallen completely in love. Beware my friends, I may just spice up your drink with some color cubes!
